The Order is our way of formalizing the bond between the creators and the community. It is a fan membership program designed to provide a "Standard" for engagement, offering a closer look at the design process, the history of our worlds, and the future of tabletop gaming.

The How: The Standard Writ

Those wishing to join the Order mark their commitment by purchasing the Standard Writ. Every member of the Order deserves a mark of their station. Upon joining, you don't just get a digital confirmation; you receive a Writ as a physical testament to your standing within the Order: a uniquely-numbered and elaborate gilt certificate — dated, signed, and sealed by two Stewards of the Table — that marks you as a Diner. A keeper of the Standard. It is your proof that when the history of these worlds is written, your name was there, at the table, helping hold the line.

As an active Diner, you have various rights and privileges, which starts with free domestic shipping from the GTG webstore and continues onward and upward from there, across the elevated tiers of Standard Table ranks.

The landscape of gaming is always shifting, but the Standard Table remains constant. We are entering a new era of creation, and we want our most dedicated allies by our side. We have heard you ask for ways to support us in our mission to Play Greater and bring great games to the world, but rather than just having your support, we would have your solidarity. The Order of the Standard Table was founded by Christopher Badell, Paul Bender, Katie Nale, SaRae Henderson, and Matthew Kroll as part of the reformation of Greater Than Games in 2026. We are the Stewards of the Table. We’re thrilled to welcome you.

For decades, tables have been at the center of our work: collaborative storytelling, tabletop games, creative communities, live experiences, and shared worlds.

The Order is an attempt to make that philosophy explicit.

The Order of the Standard Table is a fraternal-style supporter membership where people can purchase Standard Writs to become Diners, join the Seating Charter, and take part in an ongoing ritual of community, artifacts, and shared culture.
